At Illuminaire and with the LaDae Event Group, we plan and produce some of the highest level events and parties in the Philadelphia area. Most recently, I've visited the Crystal Tea Ballroom, The W Hotel, Vie, and the Curtis Atrium as a technician of various departments, including lighting, video, sound, and broadcast. Firstly, I'm proud to announce my first internship with the group, I have a lot to learn and look forward to in the coming months. The media on the left are of some of the fabulous venues I've been able to see recently. Recently, I have been able to work for the school as a technician/employee through for the BSMI IWS program and RMG Sound. Most recently, I've gotten to run sound for my Touring and Concert Promotion class in Prof's Place, at Rowan After Hours events like the Hip-Hip Culture Club Rap Show, the Centennial Concert Series, and the 2025 Opera. I work as an A1 or A2 audio engineer, stagehand/roadie, and livestream technician with the Department of Music. DATE: 3/21/25
Parallel to the on-campus and employment opportunities I currently persue, Sean M Feeney Audio takes pride in being a provider of lighting, audio, power, and effects, and extra mics and stands for local shows around the Glassboro ares, including the Treehouse and the Sound Hole. Please note that all 'basement style' venues that Sean M Feeney Audio provides for are in accordance with local ordinances. These events are purely a gathering for music-making and enjoying. Show locations remain on a need-to-know basis to ensure the continuity of events, and information about venues will not be disclosed of discussed within the confines of Sean M Feeney Audio. SMF Audio has no official affiliation with Rowan University or R-ALT. DATE: 12/22/24
Recently, I got to partake in Barbara Adam's Sound Reinforcement class, meaning I had to shadow a number of different engineers over the course of the semester. I went to the Media, PA Fellowship House where Barbara had a gig outside on a street. For another one, I went into downtown Philadelphia to a club called Vie where I worked with partner companies All Around Entertainment and Illuminaire. Also, I had an opportunity to meet the US Navy band and their audio engineer for an exclusive 1 on 1. Overall, the mountain of information I soaked in was monumental. I'm excited to continue with Barb in Sound Reinforcement 2, and expand my knowledge in performance, business, and finances. DATE: 12/12/24
This summer was certainly an interesting one. As I continue to transition out of working in the world of aquatics (lifeguarding, swim instruction, and coaching) and more into my true passion of audio. Over the summer, I scored a gig at Dingbatz, while also working small jobs locally in my very little free time. I got to go to Hawaii and Long Beach Island this summer, both of which I enjoyed very much. Hawaii has been a long time coming, and I'm so happy we got to go. As the summer comes to an end, with Band Camp and my third semester both right around the corner, it's time to lock in and take Sean M Feeney Audio to the next level! DATE: 8/30/24
As my second semester at Rowan University starts to come to an end, I wanted to share some of my personal and professional highlights from the last year. During the fall semester, I participated in the inaugural season of the Pride of the Profs Marching Band, directed by Megan Cooney (left). It was a great way for me to leap into the next chapter of my life, while still being able to do something I love. I got to meet hundreds of new people, and I couldn't be more thankful.
During the spring semester, I continued my journey towards becoming my own independent person, as that's been my main goal for my freshman year at college. Most recently, I have been getting familiar with the work opportunities both on an off campus, getting acclimated to the school's facilities, particularly Studio 1 (right) and 2. Some of the projects we've worked on include Piano by Chase J, Slide (Cover, Goo Goo Dolls), Your Love (Cover, The Outfield), and Seven Nation Army (Cover, The White Stripes). I've also been working my way into live sound and other work opportunities through Prof. Adams, studio manager Jeff Hiatt, and the department of Performing Arts at Pfleeger Concert Hall. Here's to another three more successful years at Rowan University, then who's to say! DATE: 4/10/24

I recently got the privilege of attending the 2023 Audio Engineering Society New York City Convention at Javits Convention Center. I got to check out all sorts of new gear, meet awesome people (especially the guys from DiGiCo and Austrian Audio, y'all were amazing to talk to!) and have a great time in NYC. Some of the industry's top figures had panels and presentations. My favorite was the Meyer Sound Immersive Audio Demo room, where they featured the PANTHER linear line array system, the new Meyer Sound 2100 LFC Single Drier Subwoofer, and their new Spacemap Go spatial sound design software. I also was introduced to Avid's new iOS app called Pro Tools Sketch, a surprisingly powerful DAW based around blocks and loops. I tried on planar-magnetic headphones by Audzee, some of which cost way more than I can afford, and sounded absolutely fantastic. A special thank you to Barbara Adams (AES member and professor of live sound at Rowan University) for sponsoring this trip. I look forward to hopefully joining AES and potentially creating an AES chapter alongside Rowan's Music Industry program in the near future. DATE: 10/27/2023
While driving around, I just happened to find the drum corp Phantom Regiment rehearsing at Mount Olive High School (Morris County, NJ) in their preparation for finals week in Indy. What an amazing experience! DATE: 8/6/2023
During the summer of 2022, I got to go to Rowan University and participate in the Music Industry Summer Camp. Staying on campus for five nights and getting to explore the campus and meet the Music Industry professors (Prof. Adams on the left, Prof. Gendreau on the right), and is what led me to choose Rowan as my home for the next four years.
