I am currently enrolled in Rowan University's Music Industry Program, where I am expanding my knowledge on music business, digital music production, live sound reinforcement, and recording arts. I am actively gaining real-world experience with my professors, while working with and for the university, and branching into the Philly music scene. Most recently, I've worked with live sound experts and equipment where we learned troubleshooting, efficiency, and the math behind live sound. To find out more about what I'm doing at Rowan, visit my blog. Program Advisor: gendreau@rowan.edu. Live Sound: adamsbj@rowan.edu
Run through the Artist Services class structure, Red Oak Records is the primary service for individual and underground artists local to the South Jersey/Philly areas. With the help of Gendreau and Steve Feinburg, the program received a complete overhaul, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit status, and revenue that funnels back into the university and program services for music industry students. I am the webmaster and I manage information like the website, online accounts, and web payments and orders. President: feinberg@rowan.edu
Dingbatz is a bar venue in the heart of Clifton, New Jersey that features rock, metal, punk, emo, and rap bands of all kinds into around 4 shows per week year round. This place has a lot of culture among locals, and is known to be a consistent hangout spot with lots of rotating good music. I had the pleasure of acting as an audio engineer with the venue as an UTT gig. It was a great way for me to get my hands wet with Behringer's platform as I began my Sound Reinforcement mini-track. I look forward to working with Dingbatz again should I reside in North Jersey in the future.
As a hired audio technician for the Roxbury High School Dance Department, I edit, cut, and mix tracks for the Roxbury High School Dance Showcases. Tracks are edited using both Pro Tools and Logic Pro. Reference: kkong@roxbury.org
Throughout all four years of high school, I participated in the Roxbury High School Choir Program. I worked my way into the top groups, including the Classic Sounds Honors, Madrigals, Revelation Jazz Choir, and the Broadway Theatre Show Choir. In my time at Roxbury, Classic Sounds (the top curricular choir) performed at the prestigious American Choral Directors Association Eastern Conference. We have performed all across the country, including Virginia and Pennsylvania most recently. As a graduate of the program, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to participate in the program's festivals as a sound technician. Most recently at the 33rd annual Choir Invitational, I was in charge of setting up to 30 simultaneous microphones at this judged and scored event. Reference: phachey@roxbury.org
At Redeemer Church in Succasunna, NJ, I am a livestream coordinator and technical assistant. Apart from mixing a live band, I use OBS to run a multi camera livestream on YouTube. To the left, you will see a sample livestream. Reference: tomkildea@gmail.com
One of the most influential aspects of my time at Roxbury was the Marching Gaels, Roxbury High School's competitive marching band. For my senior year, I was selected to be the Drum Major for the 2022-23 season. The Marching Gaels took home second place two years in a row at the NJMBDA State Championships, and was voted the Best Marching Band in North Jersey by NJ.com. Here is our states performance at TCNJ on October 30, 2022.
Throughout my high school career, I have done numerous recording projects for Roxbury High School's entire Performing Arts Program. Projects like the Metropolitan Wind Band Invitational, Choir Invitational, Broadway Night, Masterworks Concert, Symphonic Celebration, and All District Band Concert, are just a portion of the recording projects I take part in. Furthermore I assist in running the livestream service for our school, known as "Gaelvision" and help with the smooth running of performing arts related events at RHS.
I was the sound designer and manager for the Roxbury High School Theatre Program, where I mixed and edited over 30 live microphones and instruments.

Furthermore, Our school hosts "Broadway Night" where student-led solos and groups are performed. My job at Broadway Night is to design and coordinate the logistics of microphones whilst mixing a live show. A livestream of Broadway Night can be found here.
As an apprentice sound engineer for Tony Dean's Oldies events, I mixed multiple soloists, duets, and even a full band in May of 2023. Reference: tonydeanradio001@gmail.com
